UNICEF’s Changemaker series features young people who are making a difference.

Burkina Faso is ranked as the third poorest country in the world, with almost half of the population living below the poverty line. Growing up in Burkina Faso is tough – youth often have to sacrifice their education in order to earn money, facing harsh working conditions. However, change is happening.

Change is in our hands follows the achievements of three of Burkina Faso’s ‘Changemakers’, whose commitment to development and innovation are guiding their country towards a happier and more prosperous future.

UNICEF’s short-form documentary series communicates the stories of young people who are striving to make a positive changes in their countries, hopefully inspiring others to create a better future.
